Brook Food support Mind in Somerset for their February Charity Donation.

Here at Brook Food Processing Equipment we are in our 25th year of trading and to celebrate we are donating to a different charity every single month throughout 2019.

After kick starting our campaign in January with a donation of £1525 to St Margaret’s Hospice, Brook chose the charity Mind in Somerset for February . MIND provide an invaluable service offering advice and support to those needing help with their mental health throughout Somerset. For every order placed throughout February of £1000 and over, Brook Food donated £25.

On Tuesday 5th March, we were really pleased to be able to meet with David Fields at the Taunton Office and present him with a cheque for £1350 for the Somerset based charity. David said “On behalf of Mind in Somerset, my heartfelt thanks for the magnificent sum of £1,350 raised on our behalf during February 2019. We are very grateful for Brook Food’s support and this very generous donation, which will go towards funding the services that we provide to support people suffering from poor mental health in the region. You might be interested to know that local Minds receive no funding from national Mind for the delivery of local services. We rely heavily on the generosity of the community and local businesses for continuing and expanding our services.

Samia Sanders, on behalf of Brook Food said “With a staggering statistic of 1 in 4 people experiencing a mental health problem at some stage in their lives we felt it was really important to highlight a charity that does so much to raise awareness and support In this under resourced area, to be able to support a mental health charity in our locality is a pleasure as we know the money will be used wisely”.
