With the announcement of the updated energy support scheme from the Government suggesting this will provide a discount for energy users with particularly high levels of energy use, smaller businesses have not been given the security that they need in respect of their future.

As a result, we are now finding that alternative fuel sources are now becoming one of the first questions we are asked about when discussing ovens with customers, in the bid to reduce monthly fees.

The use of wood pellets is always an option that we discuss with customers, providing a cost efficient and sustainable fuel source. With the pellets being made from compressed sawdust, a by-product from forestry operations, this fuel source is a much more sustainable option, especially as this releases the same amount of carbon dioxide as the normal decomposition cycle.
