Love Musgrove's SNICU receive bumper donation for May.
As we near the halfway point in 2019 Brook Food Processing Equipment are on target to donate £20,000 throughout the year. Celebrating their 25th Silver anniversary with a donation of £25 for every order they receive of £1000 or more, May saw a bumper month with the donation taking on a really personal note to Steve and Ann Wells, the owners of the Williton based bakery equipment business.
The chosen charity for May was the Somerset Neonatal intensive care unit based in Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton.
Ann Wells, said “The Neonatal intensive care unit at Musgrove is a very special place, back in 2014 when Rocco was born 7 weeks premature we discovered this first hand.
Rocco was in hospital for 3 weeks and the staff and nurses in the unit offered him the most professional care and us, as worried parents, the most caring reassurance we could have wished for. We have wanted to give something back to the unit since our experience and through our 25th anniversary donation plans it seemed like the perfect opportunity”.
Steve, Ann and Rocco were delighted to present the cheque for £2250 to Sue Fulker, the Neonatal manager on Tuesday 4TH June 2019 .Sue Fulker, manager at the Somerset Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Musgrove Park Hospital, said:
“It was really kind of the team at Brook Food to raise that amount of money for our neonatal unit. “After talking to Rocco’s family we will spend the money on the softer side of things. We’ll furnish a new room for parents to stay in while their babies are being cared for here, and they can also practice looking after their baby before they go home”.
