Brook Ladies take on Pretty Muddy this Weekend.
So the weekend of the 4th of July is nearly upon us. To us here at Brook, that means it's nearly Pretty Muddy time. Have a little read about why this cause is so important to us and particularly Ann and Kerrie who are also taking part.
We, the ‘Brook Ladies’ are taking part in Pretty Muddy 5K to raise a much money as possible for Cancer Research UK to continue their research into beating all 200 types of cancer!
Pretty Muddy isn’t like any other fundraising event. It is a 5k muddy obstacle course where we will be climbing, jogging and walking all over cancer.
This is very worthy cause close to many of our hearts, so dig deep everyone and sponsor us to get very muddy. - Brook Ladies
I’m doing this in loving memory of my greatly missed Dad, whom we lost in September 2014 to cancer. I know if he could he’d be watching me make a fool of myself and having fun and be super proud. Not a day goes past that I don’t think about him 100 times over, I hope that one day they’ll be fewer and fewer people who have to be in this position. - Ann Wells
I lost my dad to this awful disease 5 years ago. He managed to live up to 4 years with cancer spreading throughout his entire body and 2 weeks before he passed was putting up shelves in my brothers home and running my shopping up and down three flights of stairs to ensure he could do all he could for his family before his time was up. 5k of mud seems very minimal in comparison but am accepting this challenge as a tribute to the strong, proud man he always was and always will be in our hearts.
This disease takes more and more lives every day, not only does it physically affect the people it captures, it mentally destroys the lives of loved ones involved. One day we will live in a world where this disease is beaten in every one of its ugly forms and by fundraising this is the best we can do to help - Kerrie Wilson
We are getting very close to hitting £1000 of pledged sponsors and it would mean a great deal to all 7 of us and everyone else in our Brook Family if we can smash that target.
Our just giving page is here to anyone that would like to help us in anyway possible https://www.justgiving.com/brook-ladies/
We thank each and everyone of our friends, families , customers and suppliers that have pledged so far - Can't wait to share all of our pictures with you !
