National Doughnut Week at Brook Food
We are proud to say we had another fantastic National Doughnut Week this year and Invited St Peters Primary School to join us in our fundraising for the second year running. We were very kindly donated Doughnuts to sell to the team by our local bakers Glenmore Bakery each day and raised a fantastic £73.57 in sales.
The children at St Peters were invited once again to take part in our Design a Doughnut competition, they paid £1 to enter and surprised us all with their imaginative colours, flavours and toppings.
With flavours like Magic dust, night Vision, Crispy Bacon and Maple Syrup and Bubble Gum sprinkles it was a real challenge to find just one winner per class. We headed over to the school on Friday to announce the winners and tell the children a little bit about The Childrens Trust and how the money they raised can help support children with Brain Injuries. They then had their photo's taken for the local paper . After awarding prizes to our winners we treated every child to a doughnut as a special thank you. The School raised £67 along with our £73.57 which means we are able to send off a cheque to the Childrens Trust for £140.57.
